As the 1st African American singer to achieve an international reputation in Opera, we introduce to you Leontyne Price! Her debut was in a Broadway revival for Four Saints in the Three Acts. Leontyne is the recipient of more than 20 Grammy Awards including a Lifetime Achievement (1988), The Presidential Medal of Freedom (1964), The Kennedy Center of Honor (1980) & The National Medal of the Arts (1985).
