Amanirenas, a one eyed Queen, led an army against Romans where they captured the head of Augustus and buried it under their temple so that their people could symbolically trample over Rome. Through the victory of conquering Rome, the Kushites occupied cities of Aswan, Philae, Elephantine plundering the cities and enslaved the Romans. Their wealth came from their facilitation of trade (incense, ivory & ebony) between North Africa to Egypt. Learn more here.
